Re: [LincolnTalk] About Aureet — young woman drowned in Sandy Pond

2022-12-28 Thread Annamaria San Antonio
This tragic accident that ended Aureet’s life, happened about eight months
before I moved to Lincoln. But, soon after I moved here, I remember hearing
about it and that there had been a lot of questions about the rescue effort.
Since then, whenever I have walked around Sandy Pond, I always stop and stand
quietly at the stone marker and send a silent prayer. But I really never knew
who she was nor much of the details until reading this

It is such a sad story, but thank you very much for sharing it.

[LincolnTalk] ISO help winterizing rhododendrons

2022-12-28 Thread Anna Lee Strachan
Hello,

Anyone know of someone we can hire to wrap our rhododendrons for the winter?
We have two large ones, two medium and 6-7 small ones. We have some burlap
and stakes leftover from previous years but mostly need to start over.

Thank you,

[LincolnTalk] ISO: Ski and Lacrosse Gear

2022-12-28 Thread Anna Lee Strachan
Hi all,

We have young kids looking to try out lacrosse and skiing, and we wanted to ask
the community if anyone wanted to part with their used gear. Happy to consider
any reasonable prices as we know this stuff is expensive. In particular, we
are looking for:

+ Lacrosse sticks and shafts- boys and girls welcome and happy to take sticks
with broken strings as my husband can re-string
+ Ski boots for ~5-8yo: Likely mondo sizes 16.5-20.5 range for multiple kids
but happy to entertain boots to grow into
+ Skis: Anything around 90cm
+ Ski helmet: Any youth size

Any quick pics are appreciated.

Thank you!

*Masks now optional in the Lincoln Public Library*

The Lincoln Board of Health (BOH) voted to rescind the town-wide indoor
mask mandate effective Monday, March 14, 2022, in response to substantially
improved and positively trending public health data, including Lincoln’s
high vaccination rate.

Residents with weakened immune systems or at increased risk of severe
Covid-19 disease because of age or medical conditions, or who have a
household member at such increased risk, are advised by the Lincoln BOH and
the Commonwealth’s Department of Public Health (DPH) to continue to wear a
mask when indoors other than in their home, even if they are vaccinated.

We encourage the public to continue to wear masks in accordance with their
own comfort level and in compliance with the DPH guidelines cited above.
Private establishments may continue to *require masks upon entry.*

*Updated indoor mask use recommendation as of April 14, 2022*: “Due to
recent data showing an increase in positive COVID-19 cases, the Board of
Health members voted last night to strongly recommend that people wear
masks in public indoor spaces until early May as we see how the infection
rate from the new BA-2 variant evolves over the next few weeks after spring
vacation.”

More information is available on the town website here.
