Also, a very big thank you to Dan Pereira, our assistant town administrator
and jack of all trades, for stopping to help and taking this pooch to town
hall to wait for pick up out of the snow!

Best,
Katy

[LincolnTalk] Recent Bank Failures May Result in an Increase In Fraud

2023-03-14 Thread Bob Antia
Recent bank failures are requiring companies to make changes to their
banking relationships. As a result of these companies' banking changes,
they are contacting their vendors and customers to inform them of the
banking account changes.

Individuals and companies should be vigilant during this process.
Unfortunately, there are indicators that cybercriminals are using this
opportunity to commit fraud by posing as a company and requesting changes
to banking information or requesting your bank information.

The SANS institute (a US cybersecurity training, certification and research
organization) has reported on numerous bank-like domains

being registered over the past 48 hours, many of which will likely be used
to scam victims.

To protect yourself from phishing scams, please take note of the following
tips:
1. Verify the sender's email address. If the email seems suspicious, do
not open it, delete it.
2. Avoid clicking on links or downloading attachments in emails from
unknown sources.
3. Call the company to verify the request by verifying the company’s
phone number on the company’s official website.
4. Always access a company’s official website directly by typing the
URL into your browser instead of clicking on links.
5. Use strong passwords and never share them with anyone.
6. Keep your anti-virus and security software up to date.

The following link from the FBI gives a good overview of one of the types
of fraudulent activities used by cybercriminals

[LincolnTalk] Bicycle repairs/tune-ups

2023-03-14 Thread Leo Gill
Lincoln Talk,
Now is the time to get your bike tuned up for spring and summer! If you are
looking for a quick, cheap, local way to get your bike ready to hit the
road or trail then look no further. Stop by to receive your tune-up
including:

   1. Gear and derailleur alignments
   2. Chain wear check (fresh chain if necessary)
   3. Brake bleed
   4. Fresh cables
   5. Regreasing of bushings and bearings
   6. Tire wear assessment and or replacement
   7. Fresh brake pads
   8. Readjusting limit screws
   9. Wheel truing
   10. Installation of fresh components
   11. Full overhauls
   12. suspension tuning/service
   13. drivetrain adjustment

In addition to tune-ups, I am also able to perform almost any
bicycle repair. If your brakes feel like potatoes or your gears are
skipping then you are in luck! Just drop your broken bike off and pick it
up good as new!

If interested, text me at 978-831-7345 or reply to this email.
