[LincolnTalk] Power washing to Perfection

2024-05-29 Thread Susan Welsh
A shout out for Zalen Stason - thanks to the recommendation of Ros DeLori via
Lincoln Talk. We were equally pleased with the excellent job Zalen did for us
as was Ros. He power washed two mahongony decks and brought them back to life,
almost as good as new. He also washed our front terrace, driveway and back
stone pathway, careful not to disturb the moss, thyme and lichen growing
between the stones. A great thorough job. Zalen is great to work with,
professional and cares about his work.

[LincolnTalk] Powerwashing help

2024-05-29 Thread Christina Thompson
I want to recommend Zalen Stason, who advertised his power washing service
here on Lincoln Talk a month or so ago. He did a great job for us cleaning
a concrete walkway that was covered with moss. He's a hard worker and his
price was fair. You can find him at:
zalensta...@gmail.com.

[LincolnTalk] Getting to Zero 2024 #9 - Embodied Carbon June 12th@7 pm

2024-05-29 Thread Belinda Gingrich

Getting to Zero 2024 #9 - Embodied Carbon June 12th@7 pm

What do you know about embodied, upfront, or operational carbon? Why is this
topic fundamental to the issues of climate change?

Find out on June 12th at 7:00pm when the Lincoln CFREE committee will be
hosting a Zoom event with Tim Lock, a renowned architect and expert on the
issues of emissions and carbon that impact us all.

The issues relating to carbon are some of the most fundamental to the
discussion of climate change and what we can do to reduce our impact going
forward.

Tim is the Managing Partner of OPAL Architects, a Maine based firm that focuses
on sustainable design and high performance homes. Tim has also advised the
White House on climate policy and the impacts of carbon on the planet.

To register for this Zoom presentation, go to the following link.

Re: [LincolnTalk] recommendations for digitizing cassette tapes??

2024-05-29 Thread Martha Johnson via Lincoln
Try the library.  I borrowed a converter a few years ago.  It was a bit
cumbersome, and it didn't convert to a format that worked in my car (MP3 I
think), but maybe they have something better now.
