The outside lights at the Greenridge condominium go off (on a timer) at 
midnight.  Moreover, a few years ago we replaced these lights with 
downward-directed ones that shine less light up into the atmosphere, and also 
use less electricity.

 runs dozens of carport lights all night long.  You can’t switch them off.
Perhaps at one time everyone worked third shift.  But now, everyone has a
flashlight on their smart phone should they be out at 3 am.Since we
have streetlights in all the  open parking areas it seems unnecessary!
