Re: lingo-l Wav file playback issue followup

2002-04-24 Thread debihall

Yes, but I have not heard from them.
Here is the lingo I used on the test.
The imported file name is 8bit22050hz.wav

8bit, 22020hz. uncompressed file

on mouseUp me
  member(8bit22050hz).media = member(8bit22050hz).media
  puppetSound 3, member 8bit22050hz
end mouseUp me

Thanks for all your help,
Debi

 Debi, I suggested setting member(whatever).media =
 member(whatever).media after you did the import. Have you tried that
 yet? You could create a small movie that does only that and send it
 over to 'em, just to see if it worked; if it did you could implement
 it everywhere.

lingo-l Wav file playback issue followup

2002-04-22 Thread debihall

Background:
As in previous posts I am having trouble with a Director project that has
all the sound files playing back at double the normal speed. We have tested
different sound rates and compresions and sound playback options. Nothing I
have done has made any difference.

Here finally are the machine specifications that are in question. They have
multiple IBM Netvista computers and all of them are experiencing this
problem. The Gateway, Dell, and other (IBM Thinkpad) older computers they
have play just fine. And the program plays normally for me on all the
machines I've tested. It seems to only be the new NetVista ones.

Has anyone tested on a new IBM Netvista computer?

Finally,

The computers in question are : IBM Netvista PC's with the following:

Processor - Pentium IV 1.8 GHz;
Memory - 256MB;
HDD - 30GB
CD - 48X CD-ROM;
10/100 Ethernet;
NVidia 16MB Video Card

Operating System is Win 2000 Professional with SP1

 - Type 6830-MGG  and   -  Type 6831-KCG
6830 and 6831 systems an ADI SoundMax on board audio

They have installed the latest sound drivers from the IBM website.
