Re: [linux] SPF hard pass for Ian
Dear Ed, To avoid having OCLUG mail go to spam: In Gmail, go into Settings/See All Settings/Filters and Blocked Addresses and Create a New Filter In the "To" field: linux@linux-ottawa.org (You could also try putting List-Id: Linux-Ottawa Discussion List in the "Has the words" field tho I haven't tried that) Then select "Create Filter" Then in the next screen check "Never Send to Spam" and whatever else you want and then click "Create Filter". Or you may just want to pick an email that's less privacy-invasive :-( Alayne On Mon, 23 Jan 2023, Edward Hong wrote: I receive your emails too (and I often find them an entertaining read…). Hi All, Does anyone at OCLUG get my emails? Re: [linux] Housekeeping
Hello, My legal name is Ian MacWilliam. Please add me to the official membership/voting list. Thanks, Ian M. P.S. I too could not find the privacy policy or the (reasonable) requirement to provide legal names for the purpose of being added to the voting list in the online bylaws. And I have seen no reply email addressing the missing privacy policy. It wouldn't need to be fancy, but it sounds like a good idea to have one. [linux] Reminder Housekeeping
A month ago (19th December), an email was sent out from the secretary, asking members who wished to be OCLUG corporation voting members to confirm their legal names. This was in accordance with the club by-laws. Specifically that the secretary must be able to communicate with voting members (email) and have their legal name registered. A confirmation email has been sent out to all those who are officially voting members. If you believe you should be registered, but have not received confirmation, then please reply to this email (sent from secret...@linux-ottawa.org) stating your legal name, so we can update the list.
