This generally happens when you miss the dasd_configure step which adds it into
/etc/udev/rules.d/

Subject: [LINUX-390] Expanding disk

Hi group!

I have created an LVM on root root and about a month ago I expanded / resized
it using yast.

I formatted the DASD
CreAted the partition
Added the volume to vgroot
Expanded the LVM and finished.

Today I went to bring up the machine and it was complaining about lvroot that
it was missing a disk.

If I followed the above process, why would the disk be missing?

Did I miss something?

Thanks!!!

Thank you Mark.

I am able to get to the site via a web browser at which point I am
prompted for credentials. I'll follow up with support to see if it is
account related. Good to know you are able to access the service.

Thanks,

Those look like what I expected, so I checked my /etc/zypp/services.d/
files, and in there I see the
https://scc.suse.com/access/services/ URL as in your error message. So,
this now goes back to being a problem on the SCC side of things, or as
Marcy suggested perhaps a change in Marist's network topology. If it is
still happening on all your systems, you might want to pursue both avenues
concurrently. As Marcy said, things are working for me on my workstation,
but that doesn't eliminate the possibility of something specific to
Marist's account(s).

We point most of our stuff at SMT or SUSE Manager, but I have seen this.
We opened a ticket once and SUSE said they had an outage - please try again.
Perhaps that is what happened?
(although I just tried it and all is well from here).

Also check that you've not had a firewall or proxy server introduced. We must
go through a proxy here and we have issues with one type of proxy and have had
to use a special one.
Something about the SSL.

SLES 12 SP1 service - File './repo/repoindex.xml' not found

2016-11-16 Thread Duane Beyer
Is anyone else having a problem applying service to SLES 12 SP1.

We started getting the following error on all of our SLES 12 SP1 systems
when trying to apply service. Same error with zypper and Yast. Just
want to verify it is a SLES issue and not our issue. The systems are
registered with SUSE and service has been applied in the past.

# zypper update
Refreshing service 'Advanced_Systems_Management_Module_12_s390x'.
Refreshing service 'SUSE_Linux_Enterprise_Server_12_SP1_s390x'.
Problem retrieving the repository index file for service
'SUSE_Linux_Enterprise_Server_12_SP1_s390x':
File './repo/repoindex.xml' not found on medium
'https://scc.suse.com/access/services/1324?cookies=0=SUSE_Linux_Enterprise_Server_12_SP1_s390x'

Check if the URI is valid and accessible.
Refreshing service 'Web_and_Scripting_Module_12_s390x'.
