In addition to Dave's reply, please understand that WAS CE is a _totally_ 
different product.  WAS CE is built on the Apache Geronimo project.  The code 
base has nothing in common with IBM's other WebSphere products, even though IBM 
has made significant contributions to Geronimo.  As such, differences other 
than can be seen by feature comparisons may cause problems moving applications 
from one environment to the other.

Has anyone looked at the IBM Open Source Consolidation Package -
WebSphere Application Server Community Edition for Linux on System z ?.
We have no specific requirement just yet, but I would like to get some
of the distributed WAS applications moved across, I have not been
