New Presentation
Dave Jones has contributed a presentation on "Accessing LINUX file systems from CMS" that he gave at the Metropolitan VM Users Association in January. I've added it to the linuxvm.org web site. http://linuxvm.org/Present/index.html#mvmua20050124 Mark Post -- For LINUX-390 subscribe / signoff / archive access instructions, send email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with the message: INFO LINUX-390 or visit http://www.marist.edu/htbin/wlvindex?LINUX-390
New Presentation on Web Site
I've added a latecomer to the presentations page (under SHARE 103 in New York), from Edward Salvati of CA: Using Unicenter VM:Operator to Manage Linux Servers. Available, as always, at http://linuxvm.org/Present/ Mark -- For LINUX-390 subscribe / signoff / archive access instructions, send email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with the message: INFO LINUX-390 or visit http://www.marist.edu/htbin/wlvindex?LINUX-390
New Presentation on the Web Site
I've added a new presentation to the web site from SHARE 102. Harold Pritchett has contributed his "Configuring BIND" session. For those that don't know, BIND (Berkeley InterNet Daemon) is the software that provides DNS services for most of the Internet. The presentation is located at http://linuxvm.org/Present/ as usual. New Presentation on the Web Site
I've added another presentation to http://linuxvm.org/Present/ : Alex deVries' "Building Linux Packages with RPM." It covers (among other things) how to take source files and patches, and turn them into an installable binary RPM. I attended the session, and thought it was well done, so I encourage anyone who has wondered how to get a package onto their system and still be able to manage it with RPM to take a look. Thanks to Alex for contributing this presentation. Mark Post
New Presentation on linuxvm.org
The first of the presentations from the December 18th Hillgang meeting is now on the web site (actually a pointer to the presentation on the Sine Nomine site): "Automating Linux Application Startup" by David Boyes. http://linuxvm.org/present/ I hope to have more of them soon, depending on whomever is willing to contribute them. Thanks to David for his presentation. Mark Post
New Presentation
A link to a second new presentation from the June 26th meeting of the Hillgang has been added to linuxvm.org. Reed Mullen of IBM's "z/VM Version 4 Platform Update" presentation is now available at http://linuxvm.org/Present/ Mark Post
New Presentation
A link to a new presentation has been added to linuxvm.org. Phil Smith III of Linuxcare's "Simplifying Linux Under z/VM" presentation from the June 26th meeting of the Hillgang is now available at http://linuxvm.org/Present/ The presentation is about Linuxcare's Levanta product for managing Linux/390 instances on z/VM. New Presentation on linuxvm.org
I owe Donald Johnson of Storage Technology an apology. Last year he sent me his SHARE99 presentation to put on the web site, and I didn't get it uploaded until today. The title is "SnapVantage(tm) - A Linux Cloning Tool," and is at http://linuxvm.org/present/SHARE99/S9270DJa.pdf Sorry I didn't do this in a _much_ more timely manner. Mark Post
New Presentation on linuxvm.org
Now that I finally got caught up, I was able to actually solicit some more content for the web site. Rich Smrcina generously agreed to have his "Linux for S/390 Technical Discussion" presentation added. It's a nice presentation in that it's pretty current, and covers a lot of ground, but also gives a reasonable level of detail. Thanks again to Rich for this contribution. Mark Post

Re: New Presentation on linuxvm.org
Gil, Try again. I just re-downloaded the presentation and it's the same size, etc., as what I uploaded. It _should_ be OK. Please let me know if it is not.
