I've had success with EMC Symm 8830 (I Think) FCP attached to a z800 and a z900. We were running SLES8 under zVM v4 in an LPAR. Just make sure that EMC and whoever is doing your iogen are working together. Eric: we have EMC storage attached via Ficon. we have Clarion storage that we will be connecting next via Fiber. I'll be interested to learn from your experience. I didn't realize that zVM supports Fiber. I thought you could only use Ficon.
