Sorry I thought autho = authorization not auto. Mine is started by an
init script. What does chkconfig report?

Re: Online update using yast

There should be a script /etc/init.d/sshd. In most distros, you can enable it
to auto start with:

chkconfig --level 35 sshd on

(By tradition, level 3 is multi-user with no GUI, level 5 auto starts xdm.)

Have you contacted SuSE about the problems you're having? If there's
something wrong with the update process, you should get them involved so
that others don't have to go through this. After all, that's why you paid
them for a maintenance agreement.

Chances are there was a kernel update included. If so, you would have to
run mkinitrd and zipl afterwards...

Rule #1: Backups are your friend. Never, ever apply maintenance unless you
have at least two known good backups and a working rescue system handy.

Rule #2: Do rule 1 twice. You'll be a better person for it.

Are there any error messages? If so, what are they?

Ok that seemed to be a little help...

When I restart.. The networking card (eth0) will not start..
I have to go into YAST and act like I am going to configure card
Which it is already configured.. And it finishes and then
I have an ip address from an ifconfig...

Ssh doesn't start either..

Any other ideas
