No, you don't need to write labels on the tapes. 3494 tape library with linux on z800
Hi! Does someone know how to access the 3494 tape library from a linux running on a z800?? I've read many docs, but I didn't get a clear answer. I can access the tape drive (3590) with OCO modules, but I cannot ask for a tape... Does it works trough FICON channel (as with zOS?), or only with network connection?
