Re: libgtk-x11-2.0.so
I've always installed *all* device related packages to account for any D/R Hotsite device incompatibilities for AIX/UNIX systems. Unsure if this is even an issue with any Linux for zSeries distributions. Since Linux on zSeries is so new, it may not have ever come up. molsen -Original Message- From: Linux on 390 Port [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Post, Mark K Sent: Tuesday, May 03, 2005 1:57 PM To: LINUX-390@VM.MARIST.EDU Subject: Re: libgtk-x11-2.0.so Sounds like a waste of time to me, especially since I would never do a "full install" of any distribution on any platform. Re: libgtk-x11-2.0.so
Hello from Gregg C Levine I've noticed that as well. For example, they originally included a large amount of items which were more appropriate for the desktop world. And early on, Linux on S/390 also included the hardware clock scripts which looked for the real time clock. I would imagine that has been fixed. Incidentally can the OS be configured to serve out an X-session to a PC host? That might be one such reason. --- Gregg C Levine [EMAIL PROTECTED] "The Force will be with you...Always." Re: libgtk-x11-2.0.so
It's right in /usr/lib on the SLES8 S390 server . It came with gtk2-2.0.6 with the distrobution. I don't know why I couldn't find it. It's Monday. I'm not certain why he needs it. He's coding some LDAP lookup programs to interface with a vendor product he is looking at. -Original Message- From: Linux on 390 Port [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Behalf Of Post, Mark K Sent: Monday, May 02, 2005 10:36 AM To: LINUX-390@VM.MARIST.EDU Subject: Re: libgtk-x11-2.0.so Yes, it's on CD2 in UnitedLinux/i586/gtk2-2.0.6-73.i586.rpm I would seriously question why your user wants to run graphical applications on Linux/390, though.
