The input port isn't enabled before the first read to allow the application to reconfigure the port's settings directly after opening it. Check ALSA's mailing lists and bugtracker. If you send them a patch with the changes, they might be more inclined to do add it. If you're not already familiar with Doxygen, it's really easy (...like 10 mins. and you're good to go). -gabriel ___ Linux-audio-dev mailing list Linux-audio-dev@lists.linuxaudio.org http://lists.linuxaudio.org/mailman/listinfo/linux-audio-dev
[LAD] introducing l2ork
Greetings all, I wanted to share with you my latest Linux-based and Linuxaudio.org-related project that has been sucking up most of my time over the past year or so to the point it seemed as if I have disappeared off the face of the Earth. Needless to mention it continues to alter my sleeping/eating patterns with unprecedented aptitude and with no end in sight ;-). http://l2ork.music.vt.edu/ Best wishes, Ivica Ico Bukvic, D.M.A. Composition, Music Technology Director, DISIS Interactive Sound Intermedia Studio Assistant Co-Director, CCTAD CHCI, CS, and Art (by courtesy) Virginia Tech Dept. of Music - 0240 Blacksburg, VA 24061 (540) 231-6139 (540) 231-5034 (fax) i...@vt.edu http://www.music.vt.edu/faculty/bukvic/ ___ Linux-audio-dev mailing list Linux-audio-dev@lists.linuxaudio.org http://lists.linuxaudio.org/mailman/listinfo/linux-audio-dev

Well, haven't heard much alsa-dev chatter on *this* channel. :-) However, I'm guessing it's fixed because the stuff in the alsa-dev archive looks normal: http://www.alsa-project.org/main/index.php/Mailing-lists http://mailman.alsa-project.org/pipermail/alsa-devel/ Likewise, looks like alsa-doc has been shut down and they're directing people to use alsa-dev or to talk to Jaroslav Kysela. But, since I'm not subscribed to any of the lists, I suppose there may be some extra enhancements and enlargements for real subscribers. -gabriel___ Linux-audio-dev mailing list Linux-audio-dev@lists.linuxaudio.org http://lists.linuxaudio.org/mailman/listinfo/linux-audio-dev
