[linux-dvb] support for WinFast DTV1800 H
Hi, Just wondering whether anyone else has had any experience trying to get the WinFast DTV1800 H card to work? Or has any advice on how to do so? I'm happy to have a go at implementing support for this card (hopefully in some ways it is fairly similar to the DTV1000, although it has analogue tuners too...), but could do with some pointers of where to start. Cheers, Jono Some info about the card (please ask if there is some other info I can get) - Homepage: http://www.leadtek.com/usa/tv_tuner/overview.asp?lineid=6&pronameid=315 "lspci -v" output: 04:03.0 Multimedia video controller: Conexant CX23880/1/2/3 PCI Video and Audio Decoder (rev 05) Subsystem: LeadTek Research Inc. [linux-dvb] Af9005 driver: remote control not initialised on driver load
Hello, I think there is a small problem in the af9005 driver implementation. When the driver is initialised, it is registered with the fields for the remote control empty. This doesn't allow for the remote control driver to be initialised. So, in order to use the remote, one has to manually remove and reinsert the stick, then the remote control works. It also doesn't work if one boots the system with the usb stick in. One possible fix is to reorder the initialisation to first check the availability of the remote control kernel module, fill in the corresponding fields and then register the driver. It seems to work here, but I am not aware of the possible side-effects. Anyway, I hope this report is helpful and the issue will get fixed. :) Best wishes, Stanislav NIkolov ___ linux-dvb mailing list linux-dvb@linuxtv.org http://www.linuxtv.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/linux-dvb

A question I have is: do the "inputs" in the code below correspond to physical inputs on the back of the card? The names suggest this, but maybe I'm wrong... I'm not sure about the tuner type either - it was just a guess, based on the fact that the tuner must be able to decode analogue and digital signals, since the card supports both. [linux-dvb] CI problems with TT-1500
Hi. A few weeks back I started some threads about my TT-1500C, CI and Irdeto CAM. I suspected faulty hardware, so have been working under Windows to test it. I've now confirmed some transponders and PIDS which definitely work with my combination. Here's a summary of my Linux problems: 1. Can't access the CAM menu (get a "en50221_tl_poll: CAWrite failed" and "en50221_stdcam_llci_poll: Error reported by stack:-2") 2. The card loads fine (get "kernel: dvb_ca adapter 0: DVB CAM detected and initialised successfully" in dmesg) 3. VDR reports errors ("vdr: [2774] ERROR: can't write to CI adapter on device 0: Input/output error") I'm looking for some tools which will let me capture a TS (or anything from the card). I was looking at dvbsnoop and dvbstream, but am I right thinking these will only produce something once the CI has decoded the stream through the CAM? What other tools are available to manually test? Are there debug options I can add to the "modprobe"? Anything else? Any help greatly appreciated!!
