[linux-dvb] KNC1 DVB-S2 Plus, Satelco DVB-S2, TT S2 3200, Technisat DVB-S2
Hi folks, I have pushed out a tree containing support for the mentioned hardware. Please note, support is still incomplete. Still much more to happen. NOTE: Still in BETA stage. Please collect all your issues, will go through one by one. I can go through the issues one by one only, so please bear with me. The hacked szap is here http://abraham.manu.googlepages.com/szap.c I would like to know the issues you face. Some people have said that the STB0899 tunes and LOCK's incredibly faster than any of the demodulator drivers we have. Would like to verify this as well. I am wondering whether this is too good to believe. Please give it a go. Testers, please give results with the stb0899 module with verbose=5 module parameter by the way i forgot to mention the tree. http://jusst.de/hg/multiproto Please change the subject to reflect the hardware you have, for getting back results. Will get some sleep now. Regards, Manu ___ linux-dvb mailing list linux-dvb@linuxtv.org http://www.linuxtv.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/linux-dvb

Would this also affect the USB stick identified as: DVB: registering new adapter (WideView WT-220U PenType Receiver (based on ZL353)) ? (Its' a Freecom stick) When tuning it needs to be given the "centre" frequency of the mux _without_ offset, but it seems to then pass back out the tuned frequency including the offset. (Or at least I'm guessing this is where MythTV gets the frequency from; but then when Myth tries to use a channel on this mux/freq it won't work - as the stick needs the frequency without offset. Scan also generates incorrect channels.conf) As with Roland it would be great to know if this is the case, as it'll end my searching for a solution as to what's going on! [linux-dvb] AverMedia USB 2.0 Hybrid+FM Volar (a828)
Anyone know whether having the above device supported in the future is feasable (or has anyone got it working currently)? Avermedia's closed[1] driver[2] is useless, panicing the kernel upon a misplaced sneeze, whether one uses the dvb, analogue or FM feature. It is surprisingly different to their AverMedia Volar USB2 which just plugs in and works using the mt2060/dvb_usb_dib0700 modules, apparently. [1] THeir insert the standard disclaimer that they can't open them because of NDAs. Other then the fact that they are both DVB cards, the ATSC 110 and 120 are completely dissimilar, so no extension of support possibility thereIt is unfortunate that you learnt that fact the hard way though, (and you probably don't need to hear this after the fact), the resources to tell you otherwise do exist: http://www.linuxtv.org/wiki/index.php/KWorld_ATSC_120 http://www.linuxtv.org/wiki/index.php/ATSC_PCI_Cards#Currently_Unsupported_ATSC_PCI_cards: > Since there's no support, I'd like to help. Any attempts been > made towards it? > This card's support is contingent upon (i) xc3028 tuner support and (ii) glue code in the drivers to tie all the components together; so as to provide device level support. The situation surrounding support for the Xceive devices is nothing short of comical; what should have been easily handled ages ago has been ridiculously fanned and blown into an ongoing "crisis". I do, however, have faith that this situation may resolve itself, one way or another, in the coming months. But until that time, you and other ATSC 120 users (and there are others, as a couple of inquiries about this device and, its Geniatech X8000A analogue, have been made) are out of luck. >From what I've seen from user reports, as it stands, even basic functionality (such as from the composite input) is currently not working on the card. I don't know if anyone has made any further investigation or inroads on that matter, but if you wish to help, then that might be a good starting point (and would, coincidently, mirror how the beginnings of support for the older ATSC 110 began). Further to that, a very simple task would be to update the card's wiki entry (http://www.linuxtv.org/wiki/index.php/KWorld_ATSC_120) with the relevant output of lspci -vvnn (so to replace the current information) and any (non-proprietary) photos of the card that you can provide. Any additional information that you can supply is also welcome. ___ linux-dvb mailing list linux-dvb@linuxtv.org http://www.linuxtv.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/linux-dvb
