Re: [linux-dvb] DViCO FusionHDTV DVB-T Dual Digital card - bottom of screen cut off
Further research shows that ATI do not support a dual head TV out (video) system on linux. It worked in 8.21 of the driver, but broke somewhere after that. It seems that it has been broken for 18 months or more. The answer seems to be buy an non ATI video card if you want TV-out to a TV. I can confirm this is not a dvb driver issue. I copied a recorded file from ubuntu and ran it on my FC4 setup (same box). Display was fine. I suspect ATI drivers but I have not proven it yet. Apparently there is a known issue with Xv driver and ATI that is not resolved. I don't think it is a mplayer issue since it was not installed when I first ran Mythtv when I saw this issue. Most likely, the video is being shown to you at full size, and your screen resolution is not large enough. Mplayer (on my machine) will usually scale down the video so that it fits on the screen, but this could also be related to your X video card driver setup. Try to hit 'F' in mplayer for "Fullscreen" mode, and see if that does anything. (depending on your video display hardware, it might not make any difference). You may want to seek answers from the mplayer people on this one, or try a different app. Cheers, Mike ___ linux-dvb mailing list linux-dvb@linuxtv.org http://www.linuxtv.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/linux-dvb
