netboot problem

2002-05-07 Thread Robert Hunter

Hi,

I am testing fai with netboot. I have dhcp, and tftp working. The
client gets an IP and dl's kernel, but then it hangs:

Any ideas?

Are you using PXE ? I think you must not use netboot when using
PXE.

Have you used imggen ? When using BOOTP and imggen (version 1.01) I
get: BOOTP record too large

But if I use version 1.00 of imggen everything is OK. Maybe DHCP has
the same problem.

FAI uses a better Linux ;-) distribution that kickstart and has a very
flexible class system.

Look at the feature list of fai:

The current version (2.3.2) is ready to use for woody.
