Just keep it (a copy of it).

Does FAI 3 support serving several nfsroot out of the box?

It's not FAI that manages the nfsroot - it's the TFTP server, and,
yes, tftpd-hpa has been doing this for quite some time (I'm running
three nfsroots for different architectures)

Cheers,

(ATM doing the opposite: serving an etch amd64 nfsroot from a sarge
i386 machine :-)

 Hi all,
is it possible to say that he dont use the MAC Address for loading
 via tftp?

I see an the boot screen of the clients:
 Trying to load: pxelinux.cfg/mac-address
 but i always had pxelinux.cfg/596A4804
Older versions of pxelinux.0 did not support loading by using the MAC
address. So check the changelog of syslinux an use an older version of
pxelinux.0.

Mmm. It seems that you have a different problem. Normally pxelinux.0
tries to load the file with the MAC address, and if this does not
exist, it tries other files (IP in hex) and at last the file default.

Daniel, did you already enable verbose logging for the tftpd? If so, what does
it say? Does it receive any request at all?

Best,
Michael

Are you running tftpd-hpa? Then add -vvv to $OPTIONS in /etc/default/tftpd-hpa

oke when i write a file to the tftp server it seems to be work:
 Apr 16 12:36:47 pxe-server in.tftpd[17766]: WRQ from 89.106.72.1 filename
 test.log

When i want to connect i dont see any logs :(

Does connect here mean booting one of your computers? Then, there is no
attempt made to contact that tftp server... This might be a DHCP
misconfiguration or a network problem.

Michael
