Hello ,

When will the new version of ubuntu be available in the Fai basefiles?

Or is there another way to generate your own basefile?

Maybe have a look here:

Extending this script for Jammy shouldn't be too complicated. If you
want to try, here's my fork with JAMMY64 added (but untested!):

P.S.: The german comapny Tuxedo has a FAI based installer called
WebFAI. It downloads the config space from
https://webfai.tuxedocomputers.com/webfai-pc/fai_config.tgz

which already includes config and scripts for SUSE.

Plus, I'm on this list as well. If there are questions feel free to ping me.

Yes, there's... Debootstrap. :)
https://www.archlinux.org/packages/community/any/debootstrap/

The Arch wiki even recommends debootstrap for installations from another Linux
distributions:

Other distributions

Hi,

I'm currently looking for a way to preseed other distributions that Deb and
RPM based ones. Preferably I'd like to get this done with FAI. Does anyone
have experience with Archlinux combined with FAI?

vinz.
