Re: Can't open /scripts/live on debian etch
hi, what is the best way to pass this error ? I am using debian etch 64bit on the FAI server as well as in the install client. Do i need to build my initrd in a special way ? I cannot find a clear answer to that, i have googled a little but have not seen anything clear on how to solve it. my guess: aptitude install live-initramfs mkinitramfs -o /boot/initrd.img-2.6.26.3-vs2.3.0.35.5 2.6.26.3-vs2.3.35.5.5 is it the good way ? I prefer to use update-initramfs -u -k all, don't know whether this makes a difference or not. But in any case: Did you make sure that this kernel/initrd is used for booting the client? Only this initrd will include the live scripts, that are needed for booting up the machine. It should be possible to add the xen kernel into the nfsroot and then xen kernels including the live scripts in their initrd should be generated. -- regards Thomas

Actually, installing the live-initramfs package onto the Xen host should suffice as well. That's what I do, at least. Best, Michael pgp21y1GVeNTb.pgp Description: PGP signature
