[Linux-HA] Dependency issues when installing stonith from rpm

2007-05-29 Thread Nick Peterson

Hi,

I'm getting errors for failed dependencies for libcrypto.so.0.9.8 and
libnetsnmp.so.10 when I try to install
heartbeat-stonith-2.0.8-1.i586.rpm. I'm running this on a RHEL4
machine and I can't figure out where I download these. Any help would
be great.

rpm --install heartbeat-stonith-2.0.8-1.i586
error: Failed dependencies:
   libcrypt.so.0.9.8 is needed by heartbeat-stonith-2.0.8-1.i586
   libnetsnmp.so.10 is needed by heartbeat-stonith-2.0.8-1.i586

Thanks,
 Nick

[Linux-HA] newbie heartbeat says its started but doesn't connect please help

2007-05-30 Thread Nick Peterson

Hi, all

I'm very new at this and I've hit a roadblock any help would be
*greatly* appreciated.
I have heartbeat installed on two servers running rhel4. I installed
the centos rpms for rhel4 and it seemed to go fine. I set up the
/etc/ha.d/ha.cf, /etc/ha.d/authkeys, /etc/logd.cf files which are all
attached and the same on both machines. I'm really unsure of exactly
what main files I need to do this setup. Do I still use haresources
in Version 2 (I'm using version 2) or does the cib.xml take care of
that? It seems like my cib.xml is also written over when I try to
test it with crm_mon.

[Linux-HA] Newbie heartbeat stops a few seconds after its started address already in use [with logs]

2007-06-01 Thread Nick Peterson

Hi there,

I've got heartbeat 2.0.8 on two servers connected with public IPs.
When I start Heartbeat on either of them it starts and then ends a few
seconds later. I think the problem is where it says "Unable to bind
socket (Address already in use). Giving up". Anyone have any idea
what this means?

Thanks,
 Nick

[Linux-HA] Re: Newbie heartbeat stops a few seconds after its started address already in use [with logs]

2007-06-04 Thread Nick Peterson

Hi there,

UPDATE: I'm including the ha.cf, output of ifconfig, and the netstat
like asked. 221 and 222 are the ending ip addresses of the machines I
have and thats why the files end in 221 or 222. The ha.cf file is the
same on both.
