Since you're using opensuse, you can also try yast software management and see whether you can find the packages. They should come on the dvd I think. Hello, strange, yast didn't show me a package like openipmi (with all options enabled in the search dialog) either. But I had success at the build-environment at opensuse (http://software.opensuse.org/search) and therefore all rpm's have been installed. thanks...GERD...
