Thunderbird + Fribidi
Is there any nice way to get Thunderbird to automatically process e-mails in Hebrew via Fribidi? (When composing, but possibly when viewing as well) ___ Linux-il mailing list Linux-il@cs.huji.ac.il http://mailman.cs.huji.ac.il/mailman/listinfo/linux-il

(When composing, but possibly when > viewing as well) Thunderbird is built on top of the Gecko browser engine. Gecko uses a library called ICU which serves a somewhat similar role to Fribidi. However, from what I know of Thunderbird, it is basically written on top of Gecko, and thus works with HTML, CSS and such. It should already provide good bidirectionality support (and if not: it's a bug that should be fixed). -- Tzafrir Cohen | tzaf...@jabber.org | VIM is http://tzafrir.org.il || a Mutt's tzaf...@cohens.org.il || best tzaf...@debian.org|| friend ___ Linux-il mailing list Linux-il@cs.huji.ac.il http://mailman.cs.huji.ac.il/mailman/listinfo/linux-il

For plaintext emails (such as when using PGP) this requires a separate solution. The recommended Bidi UI add-on seems to do the trick, though! ___ Linux-il mailing list Linux-il@cs.huji.ac.il http://mailman.cs.huji.ac.il/mailman/listinfo/linux-il
