Fedora contribution mechanism
Hi List, I thought it would be nice to have Hspell added to Fedora Core/Extra. In order to contribute the software, I have to become a contributor. And for that, I need to find a Fedora sponsor who would sponsor me. Is there a Fedora sponsor in the audience? Is there someone whose nephew knows a Fedora sponsor in the audience? Since in Fedora's eyes I am a first-timer packager, the sponsor is expected to review the Hspell package too. I've made a formal request in https://bugzilla.redhat.com/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=168624 but it seems too similar to a bug falling in a distant forest. Approaching this list seems more sensible. Re: Fedora contribution mechanism
Dan. Thanks for adding hspell to -extra. Do you have any idea if it'll be possible to add add ooo-hspell to -extra (or better yet, making it OO 2.0 compatible and then add it to -extra?) There's an even simpler solution - just get openoffice.org-langpack-he_IL - it's part of Fedora Core! It includes the myspell-format dictionary we derived from Hspell. It's not the same as the old Hspell-code-based solution, but it nevertheless works quite well, and gives you Hebrew spell-checking in Open-Office out of the box. -- Nadav Har'El|Friday, Sep 23 2005, 19 Elul 5765 [EMAIL PROTECTED] |- Phone +972-523-790466, ICQ 13349191 |Life is what happens to you while you're http://nadav.harel.org.il |busy making other plans. - John Lennon = To unsubscribe, send mail to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with the word "unsubscribe" in the message body, e.g., run the command echo unsubscribe | mail [EMAIL PROTECTED]
