Cheers, Muli Well, that depends. If someone posts once, yes, it's allowed. Things like the biyearly Aduva job posts are also ok, I guess. Then again, sending two emails a week seem excessive. I'm not sure what emails Maoz were talking about. I think he is referring to http://mirror.hamakor.org.il/archives/linux-il/05-2004/10063.html, in which case they are: 1. In Hebrew 2. Not really linux related 3. Not marked as job offer 4. Clearly spam I think it's safe to assume that we can unsubscribe the poster, as well as warn them about repeating offenses. Shachar I believe Herouth is talking about the job4all mails, which come in pairs, and do not consist of a job offer, but rather are an ad for the Human resource agency. I find them most annoying as well, for the same reasons. I think real job offers should be allowed, as they were so far, but I don't think ads are in proper place. I do not see everyone with a company or every independent worker posting their abilities here. P.S. I believe Herouth is a woman. If you want to make maximum out of your processor, compile the kernel with the appropriate processor type (Pentium/PPro etc.) You may also consider the pentium-optimized version of gcc (called pgcc). It is reported to give up to ~30% speedup (quite rare). Address: http://www.goof.com/pcg/ Andre. -- # Andre E. Re: How do one temporarily unsubscribe!
Read at the bottom of each mail in the Linux IL mailing lists :) In short, you need to send an email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with the word unsubscribe at the message body text (NOT the subject) Too bad u leave us Hetz Hashibon Adham wrote: shalom to all, how can i remove my name from the mailing list? Re: unsubscribe!
Its realy easy. Though i cant add to what is already wiriten in the linux page http://www.linux.org.il/mailing-list.html the next line is from the homepage of linux il !!! Unsubscribing from the List To unsubscribe send an E-mail message to Linux-IL Requestwith the word "unsubscribe" as the message body. What is so hard ?? and if its not working look at the above page for the Reporting Problems All is so clear, it cant be more clearer. Arieh Bibliowicz wrote: how do i unsubscribe ??? Re: Need help to unsubscribe
I'm usually not reading the list, so it's better to send admin messages to [EMAIL PROTECTED] Quoth Yoni Elhanani on Wed, May 12, 1999: you might want to filter such emails to linux-il-request, I will. and make it clear how to unsubscribe on the "welcome to linux-il" email, I did. maybe require authentication and even add an "how to unsubscribe" to the footer. That's a nice idea. Vadik. -- Real software engineers don't debug programs, they verify correctness. This process doesn't necessarily involve execution of anything on a computer, except perhaps a Correctness Verification Aid package.
