Ah right, good. I did grab rt6 yesterday but forgot to bring it home.
That'll learn me. :)

This was fix in -rt5 or 6 I think . The !PREEMPT_RT case. Current
version is -rt7

2.6.19-rt3: compilation failure

2006-12-06 Thread Jonathan Woithe
Upon an attempt to compile 2.6.19-rt3 I encountered the following compile
error:

> make -j 2
  CHK include/linux/version.h
  CHK include/linux/utsrelease.h
  CC arch/i386/kernel/asm-offsets.s
In file included from include/linux/time.h:7,

make[1]: *** [arch/i386/kernel/asm-offsets.s] Error 1
make: *** [prepare0] Error 2

This was on a Slackware 10.2-based system, so gcc is 3.3.6, binutils is
version 2.15.92.0.2.

The kernel .config file follows. Note that this error also occured when
I tried to compile 2.6.19-rt1. I piped the same config into an unpatched
2.6.19 "make menuconfig", saved and then tried to compile; it worked.
