Ouch! Unplug that printer! Either the printer connection is bad, or
your hub that the printer is plugged into is bad. My guess is on the
hub. Is this hub powered from an external power supply?

You also might want to try a different port on that hub to see if that
is any better.

Hi,

What kernel (test10)?

What compiler/version?

Please post a list of your USB devices from
/proc/bus/usb/devices .

Are you inserting or unplugging a USB device when this happens?
If not, are you doing anything with USB when this happens?

Thanks,

This looks like a usb device was unplugged and plugged back in.
What devices do you have connected?
What host controller driver are you using?
What happens to the machine at this time of night (cron jobs, etc.)?
What is your .config?
What kernel is this (and if 2.4.0-test10, does this also happen on
2.4.0-test12-pre4)?
What kind of processor is this?

In short, lots more info needed.

thanks,

Nightly usb oops

managed to catch it before it was totally gone.

In short, lots more info needed.

thanks,

greg k-h

RE: Nightly usb oops

2000-12-04 Thread Dunlap, Randy

Hi,

What kernel (test10)?
  -m /boot/System.map-2.4.0-test10 (specified)

What compiler/version?

Please post a list of your USB devices from
/proc/bus/usb/devices .

Are you inserting or unplugging a USB device when this happens?
If not, are you doing anything with USB when this happens?

Thanks,
~Randy_
