2.6.20-rt5 doesn't boot on my hyperthreaded Pentium 4 2.80GHz either. I

has a side note 

I had more problems 2.6.20-rt4 and 5 than 2.6.20-rt2 ( I miss rt3) 
I had again this problem :
 NETDEV WATCHDOG: eth0: transmit timed out
 eth0: link up, 100Mbps, full-duplex, lpa 0x41E1
