Ok. Will separate them into 3.

Yeup... thanks for pointing this. Will fix it in next version.

Hi Vaibhav,

Thanks for the patch.

You should probably not refer to "patch below" in a commit message, as there
this won't be a patch anymore after it gets applied (and "below" is
meaningless in a git log).

There are 3 fixes in this patch: compilation warning, section mismatch
warning, and addition of .owner = THIS_MODULE. I would have split the patch in
3.

What about removing "case 0" below ? The default case would then set mode to -
EINVAL.

[PATCH] omap_vout: Fix the build warning and section miss-match warning

2012-03-09 Thread Vaibhav Hiremath
Patch fixes below build warning and section miss-match warning
from omap_vout driver -

Build warnings:
=
drivers/media/video/omap/omap_vout.c: In function 'omapvid_setup_overlay':
drivers/media/video/omap/omap_vout.c:381:17: warning: 'mode' may be used
uninitialized in this function

Section Mis-Match warnings:
==
WARNING: drivers/media/video/omap/omap-vout.o(.data+0x0): Section mismatch in
reference from the variable
omap_vout_driver to the function .init.text:omap_vout_probe()
The variable omap_vout_driver references
the function __init omap_vout_probe()
If the reference is valid then annotate the
variable with __init* or __refdata (see linux/init.h) or name the variable:
*_template, *_timer, *_sht, *_ops, *_probe, *_probe_one, *_console
