Sorry to miss you all. I was a little over-committed and under the weather.

He and I have had a wee conversation.

Initially. he stated that he is feeling very shy and frightened of
being exposed to public view, yet again, in a alcolhol fuelled
environment.

I told him to stop be so darned silly.

He has therefore, very reluctantly, agreed to do his duty as a mascot.

So, Yes, Tux will be on view - initially anyway, but I have
compromised with him, and he will be allowed to retire to my pocket as
the evening progresses.

That's pretty wimpy behaviour from an ex IBM stress-Tux...

Yes, yes, I know. All I know is that his psychiatric health was in a
dreadful state when he came into my care. The most serious case of computer
induced PTSD I have ever encountered. Goodness only knows what happened to
the poor little sod during his stint with IBM. Been abused as some sort of
stress-relief punch-bag as far as I have been able to determine. A sad case,
but I am glad to be able report that after sitting peacefully on my
mantleshelf in a pure Linux environment for a number of months he is now
well on the way to a full recovery.
