Is there an easy way to convert from 32bit to 64bit? preferably without
reinstalling.

mid-long term, are there any 64bit-only features now or planned? Will I
loose something running a 32 bit version now or a few years from now?

I would recommend using a 64-bit version unless you can't.
pfSense is based on FreeBSD, and, it's fair to say, development and
installed user base is focused more on FreeBSD/amd64 than FreeBSD/i386.
There has also been talk of of using ZFS in future pfSense, e.g., for boot
environments and rollbacks on updates, and I would not recommend using ZFS
on FreeBSD/i386; it's far better on FreeBSD/amd64.
Cheers,
Paul.
