[FLEAA] Tesla Update
Hi All, Well, I was a bit optimistic. Here is a portion of the last email forwarded to me by Steven. "Your car, starting with body panels going to the paint shop, should hit the production line the end of September. Delivery is somewhere around 4-6 weeks later. Lotus will build the rolling chassis, it comes to San Carlo, we put in the drivetrain, and then put it on a truck for the journey across the country to you." [FLEAA] Tesla Watch
Hello Everyone, Steven Cayre emailed me with the latest news about his Tesla. 27 Teslas have been delivered with 50 Teslas on the assembly line. Steven's Tesla is #56. My understanding from emails from Tesla is Steven's Tesla should be delivered around the first or second week of October. Steven's Tesla will be delivered to Miami. I plan to drive my eBox down to see it :-) Andrew ___ Florida EAA mailing list listserv@floridaeaa.org http://www.floridaeaa.org
Re: [FLEAA] Polk EVA
Folks, Bob Ivey is in Jacksonville aand looking for some local support. He has contacted us in Polk County as the closest to him. Do we have any members, contacts or resources in Jacksonville? As far as I know I am the only one in the Jacksonville area interested in doing a conversion. I do have some friends that say they might help. I found a place today that I can rent, if I have to, but I do not want to pay a lot of rent for very many months. At least the weather is going to get cooler soon. [FLEAA] EV Help Seminar
Hi All, I recently took Mark Hazen's saturday seminar and was really impressed. As a career electrical engineer and educator, he's equipped to talk about many different steps of the conversion process, really gaving me my $99 worth. He's currently running a really elegant controller of his own design, so you folks with a conversion under your belt already could find lots to talk about. I'd reccomend trying to schedule the workshop with others who are of an equal level of expertise to allow him to focus on specific concerns rather than things like "20 vs. 24 LAs". Highly useful as I plan out my first conversion. His wife made up a great BBQ lunch as well. James ___ Florida EAA mailing list listserv@floridaeaa.org http://www.floridaeaa.org
