2008-07-08 Thread Aaron Cunnington
Hi guys,

What would you guys recommend for the best Partial Name and wildcard search
options for MOSS?

I have a client who wants to search for Partial names such as Doc for
Document and also numbers. Any recommendations?

Cheers

Aaron

Use keywords and add keyword Best Bets for appropriate synonyms.

Thanks for the response Paul, we may need to have a lot of these, so may be
very difficult to manage longer term.

I was hoping someone may have used a third party product they could
recommend.

Cheers

2008-07-08 Thread Brett Clarke
Ontolica have a free wildcard edition to add wildcard search to MOSS, or you
can buy their full search product for even more complete searching. I installed
it on our Dev site, but I can't remember why we didn't move it to prod.

So far we have 4 votes for 4 different projects could it be that no one on
this list is using a codeplex project? (your link to vote:

There is a project on codeplex for user last names and first names.

We pulled the code apart and adapted it for our own plans. (I have forgotten
 which we used)
