I'm on my way from the training venue near Paddington but hopefully it won't
take to long for my bus.

I'm already here and have bagged a table at the back. The staff haven't heard
of London Perlmongers. Apparently we didn't make a large enough impression the
last time round :)

I'm quite enjoying this pint of Diamond Geezer.

Based on a multitude of suggestions I'll be at the Star this Thursday
(21/3) around 7pm. I'm planning to meet at least one other perl
hacker there, if anyone's in the area and fancies a pint and some
conversation, let me know.

I had some rough plans to try and meet the gentleman who does the RT
and perl packaging for Debian (Dominic Hargreaves) on March 20th in
London while he was passing through. If other folks were interested
in also having a beverage that evening I'd be thrilled to meet up.

I've either been here or heard about it from London.pm'ers.

I've also gone and back-filled this with a few of our favourites from 2013.

There is lovely beer to be had all over London, so it'll be fine. If you
would like, we could arrange an Emergency Social during your visit. If so,
feel free to suggest an evening that you will be free and I think one of us
will make it happen.

Plenty of good beer if you go a little way east.

Just tell us where you're going to hold the training and we will be
incredibly happy to make recommendations.

I believe the list to which you refer went away some time ago during
website refurbishment. The pubs we use does tend to change a bit over time,
and there are new places which have appeared (or changed in quality) since
that list was current.

Me too, although it was but a dim recollection and I'd never gotten round to
actually looking for it until you reminded me.

It appears to have been deleted when the site was given a revamp in
2009/10-ish. The most recent cached copy appears to be this one:

http://web.archive.org/web/20090729074128/http://london.pm.org/meetings/

That's probably my cue to submit patches to the web site to add the list of
meetings and also bring it up to date.
