[LUAU] Ubuntu CDs and a free laptop
I haven't had time to drop those Ubuntu CDs off on a Saturday yet. I'm leaving Hawaii on Monday so will try to bring them by this Saturday if that is a good time. I also have an extra broken Toshiba laptop. I don't know how to fix it, but maybe someone could fix it and find a use for it with HOSEF? I think it is just a problem with the connection between the body and the screen. The laptop doesn't have a hard drive, but has a CD/DVD drive and can run live CDs. Something like a 1.2 Ghz Centrino with 512 memory. Works best with Debian-based distros because Debian includes the Toshiba utilities for fan, etc. It didn't like Fedora 3 much. It's a decent computer and I would still be using it as my main computer if it hadn't broken down on me. I'm hoping I can find someone who could use it or I will have to throw it away since I already have too many carry-on items for the plane... Josh __ Do You Yahoo!? Tired of spam? Yahoo! [LUAU] Used Equipment
Alle, We are getting ready to inventory and decommission several Sun Ultra1/Ultra2 machines and associated disk packs/tape drives that were legacy boxes from a previous installation. I don't have exact numbers yet, but should have them soon. We'd like to donate these to a worthy organization (HOSEF) if they could be used in any fashion other than paperweights. Is there anyone here on the Big Island (or other islands) that could use these machines? Best Regards, Camron -- Camron W. Fox Hilo Office High Performance Computing Group Fujitsu America, INC. [LUAU] hawaiian tel internet and e-mail
I forgot to mention that the connection works fine out of the box. The setup is only to get an e-mail account and space on the web server. -- ___ Play 100s of games for FREE! http://games.mail.com/

Can't use their web space to store your ebay pictures though. Something's wrong that's preventing the pictures from being seen from a non-hawaiiantel website. This never used to happen when verizon was running it. Wayne
