Thanks a lot, it works just fine and it's still possible to show the
menu with C+Escape.

Very useful information, thank you.

I believe it's not Lxpanel, but the openbox configuration. On a
default lubuntu install, openbox is catching the Super key, and
calling lxpanelctl menu. You can comment-out the Super_L and Super_R
keybindings in ~/.config/openbox/lubuntu-rc.xml. You'll have to reload
or restart openbox. HTH, Henry

[Lubuntu-desktop] LxPanel's Menu conflics with keyboard shortcuts....

2012-01-17 Thread Axel FILMORE

Hi there,

I've found something weird with LxPanel's Main Menu.

When the menu is added to the panel, hitting the super key just shows
the main menu, but other Super key shortcuts doesn't work.

When the menu is not added to the panel, Super+D minimises or maximises
windows, Super+E runs PCManFm, which is very handy for people comming
from other OS's if you see what I mean. :-D

I don't know really how the Super key is handled in the Main Menu, if
it's hard coded or not, but that's an issue IMHO.

Regards. :)

Great, but how to minimise/maximise windows ?

Another interesting Super key is Super+F1, Super+F2, this switches to
desktop

1 or 2, if you have 2 desktops of course.

There is CTRL+ALT+D to start the filemanager and CTRL+ALT+T to start a

Re: [Lubuntu-desktop] Possible Bug in /usr/bin/startlubuntu

2011-12-30 Thread Axel FILMORE

I just installed LU Alpha 1 for further testing.
It works fine currently for an Alpha release.
:-)

Thanks a lot for these informations.

Best regards.

Hi,

Thanks for your help on this :) Let me comment the 3 points :

I would see three problems :
1) /etc/xdg/xdg-/usr/bin/startlubuntu doesn't exist and looks weird.

You should have /etc/xdg/xdg-Lubuntu instead. It's a common path for
configuration files, using by Xubuntu for example (all it's in
/etc/xdg/xdg-Xubuntu).
It was introduced sometimes ago, but I didn't find any advantage to move
from /etc/xdg/lubuntu to this location.

2) /usr/bin/startlubuntu appends /etc/xdg once more.

I fixed it for 12.04, it's already append by a Xsession.d script
(/etc/X11/Xsession.d/60x11-common_xdg_path).

3) lxsession parses any $XDG_CONFIG_DIRS/autostart that exists.

Yes, there were complains about applications run twice using autostart,
it's probably because of this. Thanks :) Unfortunately, I'm in the
middle of rewriting this part of lxsession, so I can't include your
patch like this, but I'll make sure the behaviour is correct on the new
lxsession.
