[Lubuntu-desktop] pcmanfm seriously broken
Hi Team: Today i finally upgraded my 10.04 packages with the LXDE PPA released a time ago. So far so good (and faster) but when i tried to right click a file pcmanfm crashed... maybe it's because i open files with one single click i thought, so i go to preferences and pcmanfm crashed again! Similar, but not the same, it's when i go to preferences in desktop, i'm able to change the wallpaper but when i click close the old wallpaper comes back and pcmanfm crashes again!! This bug it's just affecting me? How can i make a debug file? So far it's all i can tell. I think this is critical for 10.04 users! Maybe the upgrade is not ready yet for 10.04? For now i just want to roll back pcmanfm libs to get the functionality back... anybody knows how to do it? Re: [Lubuntu-desktop] plymouth
Since Lubuntu is intended for low specs machines, 'splashscreen' could be just a text saying 'Lubuntu' and in the line under that one, 5 'o' appearing in a set of time, so it makes consistence with the idea of the distro (and trully think that this would me a lot easier to do and time saving to startup). -- jpxsat Ubuntu user #29.157 (Lubuntu 10.04) Linux user #522.597 ___ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~lubuntu-desktop Post to : lubuntu-desktop@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~lubuntu-desktop More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp

First: Isn't there a way to get a text based splashcreen without plymouth?? it would result a faster boot! (and less complicated?) Second: a text based installer seems to me an excellent idea to make the installation fast, since many of us and the rest of the possible users of lubuntu would possibly use it to revamp an old machine!!
