Actually, according to Weiss- according to Mattheson, according to Baron- for a 13 course lute. For an 11 course lute, only 55.7 years. For any Renaissance lute, put it in 1/4 comma meantone with all gut strings and relax. Yes, according to Baron! I never have to tune again! Mattheson, I think.
