RE: so quiet around here it's spooky

2004-10-14 Thread Ron Fletcher
Hi all,

Just for the record (Maybe this should be a weekly update from
everyone?) It could be a good indication of our levels of competence and
maybe we can suggest pieces that would suit beginners/newcomers etc.

This past month I have been mostly practicing my 10 course Hans Frei
lute:

Robert Ballard
Entrée de Seconde

Guillaume Morlaye
VI Fantasie
Pavane f30-30v,

Jacques Polonais
Courante

Nicolas Vallet
Fortune Angloise,
Preludium I Regia Pietas
Preludium II
Psalm II

Vincenzo Capirola
Ricercare 8
Ricercare 10

Girolamo Frescobaldi
Toccata (Measure 7 uses all 10 courses!)

Sienna Ms
Recercar Ms 14 (Fantasia f. 5v?)

All for free!
BTW. I like peace and quiet and the spookier the better!

Best Wishes

Ron (UK)

Why isn't anyone posting to the lute net recently? What, are you all
practicing?

Dear Ed

Why isn't anyone posting to the lute net recently? What, are you all
 practicing?

I thought there was something wrong in the list server, but it seems
to work! Yes, I should practice more... ;-)

Practicing politics, I'm afraid. Pounding the pavement.

Looking forward to Nov. 3.
