Eric,

Ldirectord needs a full restart to reset the email preference. (would
be nice to change that at some point...)

 Ldirectord needs a full restart to reset the email preference. 

Boo. Every night when my database services are stopped to be backed up,
ldirectord sends me 400+ texts. I was trying to turn that off. A full
restart is out of the question because there are users on the system
24x7.
