Picture preview rendering error under Solaris
hi, I just compiled LyX 1.1.6fix2 under Solaris (using gcc 2.95.2) on Sun Sparc hardware. I used xforms 0.88. System ghostscript is 6.50. I have seen *no* figure previews in this particular LyX incarnation, even when I start LyX and then leave it alone for a while to do it's thing. It seems that there is something on this platform that triggers this bug *consistently*, rather than the intermittent behaviour which is seen under Linux. The figure previews just show the file name and the string '[rendering...]'. Note that I am able to get a preview in a window when I press the 'full screen preview' button in the figure dialog. I ran reconfigure, and it did find gs. I realise that this is an old bug, and that it probably lies deep within xforms. I just thought I'd add this observation to the common knowledge - it may mean something to someone. Ben.
