Sounds good, Dan. Please ask if you have any questions. Just as a note, the way I got started developing in LyX was by reading very carefully the documentation and sending in patches. They will eventually be looked at by a LyX developer although it could take some time. However, the best way for you to help would be to look at the most recent manuals. You can do this by installing LyX 2.1 beta 2: ftp://ftp.lyx.org/pub/lyx/devel/lyx-2.1/lyx-2.1.0beta2 Then, when you make your changes, please turn change tracking on.
