Re: [Customization] Using environment variables LYX_USERDIR_VER / LYX_USERDIR_20x

Thanks for the response, I tried it and didn't work. I'm using Void's
package for LyX, which is compiled using

./configure --enable-qt5 --without-included-mythes --without-included-boost
make

What do I have to change in the compilation in order to enable this
environment variable?

It may depend on how your lyx is compiled.
Have you tried LYX_USERDIR_23x?

If you can use terminal, you could also call lyx with an parameter (before the
lyx-docs)
$ lyx -userdir whatever ...

[Customization] Using environment variables LYX_USERDIR_VER / LYX_USERDIR_20x

2022-04-08 Thread Eloi Torrents
While reading the document
http://ftp.lyx.de/Documentation/en/Customization.pdf and its Spanish
translation http://ftp.lyx.de/Documentation/es/Customization.pdf I realized
that the environment variable for changing the user directory is different.
The English version says that it is LYX_USERDIR_VER while in the Spanish
version states that it should be LYX_USERDIR_20x. I tried both and neither
worked for me What is the correct way to set a userdir using an
environment variable?

I'm using version 2.3.6.1 in a Linux system.
