linebraking

1999-01-29 Thread Achim Maldener

I have got the problem that LyX (or rather LaTeX?) writes beyond the
margin of a page, if the last "word" in a line is a citation.
The same thing happens if I export the LaTeX file and view it with xdvi.
Any hints?

Thanks. That was much easier than any solution I was thinking about.
(e.g. entering a linebrake at the end and a \hspace between every word of
the line)

placement of figure captions

1999-03-12 Thread Achim Maldener

I would like to place the caption inside a figure float not under but on
the right side of the figure. Is there a way to do that inside LyX?
Thanks for any help

As far as I know, the only way to do this is to enter
\addcontentsline{toc}{chapter}{Bibliography} in tex mode.
Hope that helps

Just put
\usepackage[hang]{caption}
in your LaTeX preamble.

bibtex

1999-01-08 Thread Achim Maldener

I think the following is a question concerning rather latex (or
bibtex) than lyx:
I am using a bibtex reference list within LyX. If I enter something into
the "title"-field in the .bib file, every word is set in lowercase,
independent of how I enter it. I have to use some acronyms and
also german text, that should be uppercase. Any hints how I can do that?
TIA
