relyx not available

2000-06-10 Thread Alexander Bauer

Hi,

I've installed SUSE 6.4 on my PC and it comes with
lyx 1.1.4fix1.
I tried to import a latex-document (from Excel with
Excel2Latex)but in the Import-menue the Latex-Option is not
available.
Any suggestions what to do!
Thanks

Alex

have a look at .lyx/lyxrc if the option for "relyxing"
is valid.

Integral subscripts - how to ?

2000-06-10 Thread Aleksandr Konstantinov

Hello, All.

My knoweldge of latex is poor. So I'm sorry if this question looks
stupid.
When in LyX I put subscripts and superscripts after sign of summation ,
in final outpup I get then below and above that sign (for display
equation, of course).
But when I use subscript/superscript after integral sign - they are
lowered/rised and put
to the right of integral.
How can I make them appear below/above the sign ?
How can I make my own sign with behavior like summ sign ?

Thanks in advance.

A.K.

remeber that super/supscript always appear, when your formula
is in a textline. this differs from displaying in lyx-window, where
they are always above and below.
are you sure, that you have chosen displaymath for both?

Custom Export and pdflatex

2000-06-10 Thread Dr. Ing. Roland Krause

Stephen,
there is a \custom_export_command and a corresponding \custom_export_format
switch in /usr/share/lyx/lyxrc.example.
You can modify your personal $(HOME)/.lyx/lyxrc file to whatever you want
these command to be.
I have had a little trouble with the fact that earlier lyx versions store
the resulting pdf file in the tmp directory, somewhere in /tmp/lyx_PID/
This is a bug and should be relatively easily fixed though.
But in general it does work.
Tpp bad that acrobat reader is such a piece of crap on Linux :-(
