Problem with layout scrap in noweb mode
Hi, I'm using Lyx 1.1.5 on AIX. The problem arises when using doc layout article (noweb) using paragraph layout scrap. "/^ /" is exported to latex (and saved to the lyx-file) as "/^{ }/" or as "/^{} /", depending on the sequence of typing. Both variants are wrong, verbatim output is expected instead. Font errors
Hi all, I'm having a bit of a problem. I'm not entirely sure what this error message means: # Font T1/cmr/bx/it/12=ecbi1200 at 12.0pt not loadable: Metric (TFM) file not f # \subsection*{textit{Ab~Initio}} # # I wasn't able to read the size data for this font, so I will ignore the font specification. # [Wizards can fix TFM files using TFtoPL/PLtoTF.] # You might try inserting a different font spec; # e.g., type '\fontsame font id=substitute font name'. The error comes up in a window titled "LaTeX Error". I think I wrote the message correctly; however, I couldn't copy and paste from the window. I am using FreeBSD 4.0 stable and installed LyX 1.1.5 and teTeX 1.0.7 via the ports system. On an older computer, I had this successfully working with LyX 1.1.4fix2, but this is a new computer and a fresh install of FreeBSD. I'm pretty sure my TeX is installed correctly. Am I missing some fonts? How can I remedy the situation? Thanks in advance, Kevin Gross
Re: Font errors
Sorry about following up my own message. I should be more thorough. The message pops up when I try to view a dvi image of my document (File:View dvi). The document is very vanilla. Just an article class document with a Title, Author, Abstract, Introduction and regular text. In a couple of places, I used noun style text and emphasized text. Errors such as I described pop up all over the place (12 in just under a page of text), especially where I use noun and emphasized text. - Original Message - From: "Kevin Gross" [EMAIL PROTECTED] To: "LyX" [EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Monday, July 17, 2000 7:46 PM Subject: Font errors Hi all, I'm having a bit of a problem. Q: [?] instead of bib ref
Hello, Sometimes I get [?] instead of the correct bib refin my whole document , even though the Bibliography at the end of the document is correct. Each time I get this kind of trouble, I perform random actions such as close the file, rename the bib file, delete the /tmp file.
Tabular format < 5 is not supported anymore.
Lyx 1.1.5 has just been installed on our network of Linux machines. However, when trying to open files written in an older version I get the following error message. Tabular format < 5 is not supported anymore Get an older version of LyX (< 1.1.x) for conversion! Although, the document is successfully opened, after dismissing this error message for each table, the tables need to be edited back to their original appearance. Also, inserted into the top left box of each table are the numbers 0 8 1 0 0 0 0. I am in the middle of writing my PhD thesis and have loads of tables and little time. Is there an easier quicker way to convert the older version tables to the newer version? Thanks to anyone that can help.
The reason for this error might come from that "scrap" layout is derived from "latex" layout, where such behaviour is possibly desired. How can I assure that the contents of "scrap" paragraphs are not messed up? Thanks for your help, Regards, Martin Kraska. -- Dr.-Ing.
