Seems so.
As far as I see it, we would need a "\AfterBeginDocument{...}" wrapper,
or a logic that renews \Frlabelitem.. instead of \labelitem in case the
document language is french...

Hmmm... Now I'm getting confused.
The \AtBeginDocument{...} wrapper around the bullet settings was added
so the bullet settings worked with frenchb a couple of years ago.
If I've understood this thread it seems you are now saying that we
should get rid of this wrapper in order to get it to work with
frenchb.
Hmmm... perhaps the authors of frenchb have fixed their previous
problem and broken our workaround.

big problem 1 - clipboard is dead
Hi people in 5 days i'll have to turn in my thesis i am working on it when i finally realize that for some reason I CANT PASTE TO or copy from lyx anymore. Of course i havent changed anything. I am using lyx under windows 2000, using x-win 32 and the clipboard option seems allright. Anybody heard of such problem before? i copy to the window's clipboard and then try to paste using the center button (wheel button ) or the "paste comamnd" in the menu but with no result whatsoever. I can't tell you the exact code, but here's the process by which I would find
out:
Start by grepping for the bibtex environment or command in /usr/share/texmf
tree. Find a \newenvironment, \newcommand, \renewenvironment, or
\renewcommand for that environment or command. Then paste that entire
definition into either your layout file or your document preamble, and add
code to change the line spacing. The code I would add is to put
\usepackage{setspace}
early in the preamble or layout, and then follow it any time later with the
above referenced code with something like
\setlength{\parsep}{-1pt}
\setlength{\parskip}{-1pt}
\setstretch{0.8}
or whatever makes the spacing right for you.

reLyX fails on seminar example file

When I tried to import the example file semsamp1.tex for the seminar class into lyx, I
got the following error:

Looking at the given error line, I find
