Mac keyboard shortcut problem
Hi, I have installed Lyx/Mac 1.3.7 and appropriate Tex stuff on my mac mini. Everything seems to be ok - except that no keyboard shortcuts work. However, at lyx.org the following is stated: Mac-like keyboard shortcuts for commands and cursor movements (like OPT-LEFT to move left one word) are provided as the default for new installations. What should I do to make this default work? ~/Library/Application/ Support/Lyx/bind is empty. A pdf-file listing lyx/mac bindings came with the installation, but I can't get them work. Holger

According to the cvs log, this has been done in order to fix a bug with ñ. Jürgen

Holger Holger - The default bindings are stored within the LyX.app bundle, and you needn't worry about their precise location. All you need to do is enter mac.bind (without the quotation marks) in LyX Preferences User interface Bind file, then quit and restart LyX. In general, I think we should avoid to use these shortcuts in LyX, since most of them are designed as convenient shortcuts for things that can be done in another way. We could also define for each language the list of shortcuts defined by babel and be careful about the code we output when we know these shortcuts could interfere. JMarc

german spell checking in LyX 1.3.7 for Windows
Hello, today I installed LyX 1.3.7 for Windows with the LyXWinInstaller and with it my old WinLyX 1.3.3 replaced. Although aspell is installed and also the german spell checking was downloaded of the aspell site and installed then, aspell in LyX - Edit - Preferences cannot be furnished. There is allways to be seen a grey deposited ispell, and the spell checker does not find the german dictionary (de). On the old wiki side for the WinLyX version at the time one described precise, how aspell with german dictionary is to be installed. For the new version 1.3.7 I found no reference on the wiki sides. How can I install a working german spell checker in LyX? Thank you in advance Marcus Glöder
