Color schemes

2006-04-16 Thread Paul
I really dislike the default pink color scheme and fonts in LyX. Even a simple
black on white would be nicer. I uploaded the profile that I typically use
here: http://wiki.lyx.org/Tips/ColorSchemes . It is white on blue with a
nicely antialiased monospace font in place of Times New Roman and reminds me of
the good old days of Word Perfect 5.1, but with better fonts. If you have a
different one that you like, please post it there. I might try to duplicate
Ulysses' full screen mode next
(http://www.blue-tec.com/ulysses/screenshots.php).

Re: updating postscript file, but not eepic picture

2006-04-16 Thread Gunnar
I have a LyX (1.3.6) file that contains a reference to an eepic file that
is be included with \input command. That works, but when I change in
the eepic file, the LyX files preview is not updataed, even though I use
update postscript/ view postscript and reloads the postscript file.
What can I do to fix this problem?

Does closing and reopening the LyX document rectify the problem?
Well, the same problem again. Closing only the document and reopening solves
the problem, then the updated eepic file is used.
Any ideas on this problem?

Where does LyX cache things by the way? nothing is
in /tmp/lyx_tmpdir884848/lyx_tmpbuf0/

Re: BibTeX/NatBib citations in text issue

2006-04-16 Thread Paul A. Rubin

Maria Gouskova wrote:

Dear LyX users,

I am having an issue with NatBib in n LyX 1.3.7. When I cite more than
one author at once using the InsertCitation option, the in-text author
list breaks across lines in the final document. For example, if I select
(Jones1986, Jones 1998, Jones 2000, Smith2003, Johnson1976, Black1995,
White1984) in the bibliography insert dialog, they will appear as

... blah blah blah (Jones 1986,
1998
2000 Smith 2003, Johnson 1976, Black 1995, White 1984) in the PDF.

This persists regardless of the .bst file I use; normally, I use a
custom-made file (made in custom-bib), but the same issue arises even
when I use the plainnat style that LyX ships with. The only workaround
is to insert each author-year entry as an individual citation, but that
defeats the purpose of using BibTeX. Any suggestions?

Maria

Can you post a small example (plus .bib file), using plainnat? I can't
seem to reproduce the problem here.
